A LEVEL HeadStart Course in C# Programming
HeadStart Programming course in C# - For A Level Computer Science
This is a one day course that will focus students who have never programmed before and will give a simple introduction to Visual Studio and C#.

This course is aimed at A Level Computer Science students who have either not studied GCSE computing or students from a Python background who wish to know more about C# and Visual Studio
​
​This is a 1 day course limited to 8 students, 1:1 tuition cannot be guaranteed.
​
topics covered will include:​
· An Introduction to the Henley College
· An Introduction to Visual Studio and C#
· Basic output programming ‘Hello World’
· Modifying output for formatting
· Basic inputs to a program
· Basic logic – If Else
· Getting your program to repeat
· Basic file Input/Output

Some key information about the day includes:

The course will start at 09:00 and finish at 16:00

Students will need to make their own way to and from the college

No food will be provided, so students should bring a packed lunch.

There is no eating or drinking in the IT rooms.

Students should aim to be at Deanfield reception for 08:45, they will be escorted to the teaching room where a register will be taken.

Students will be given a temporary username and password for the duration of the course, which will be separate from their college username and password
