“The General Data Protection Regulation 2018 (GDPR), which comes into force on May 25th, 2018, aims to protect the fundamental right to privacy and the protection of personal data of European Union (EU) citizens.  This regulation affects any entity (including websites) that processes EU citizens' personal data. Whether or not your business is located in the EU, if you have EU site visitors, or if your marketing campaigns target EU citizens, this affects you.” As you will have seen from the above text, the GDPR is coming into force. With this in mind, here is the privacy policy of TheComputingTutor website. Information  entered into the website for the purposes of making a booking (email, phone number, name) will be stored on a secured device other than the wix.com platform Email information stored will be used to report back to you, the parent or guardian of the student, on the progress made during the session. Email and Name information will be used for the purpose of creating and sending out an Invoice or Receipt for payment of Tutoring Services. Email information will be used for sending out resource purchase information only, and this will be stored on the WIX servers. No data will be retained on TheComputingTutor company machines. No payment information will be entered into the system. Any information will only be used to verify the identity of any purchaser. Product order information will be stored both the Wix servers as well as TheComputingTutor company machines for the purpose of creating and sending out invoices. Personal data entered into TheComputingTutor website will not be used for any other purpose, other than those described above. TheComputingTutor is hosted on the wix.com platform. wix.com provides TheComputingTutor with the online platform that allows TheComputingTutor to provide tutoring services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. The wix.com servers will store your cookie data, so that you will be identified to TheComputingTutor whenever you make a repeat booking. It will store your IP address for the purpose of identifying your location and for web traffic analysis. None of your data will be used for marketing purposes although if you have purchased resources from TheComputingTutor, your data may be used to notify you of free updates to your resources. No payment details or other data will be stored by TheComputingTutor or wix.com and will available to EU or UK users in this version of TheComputingTutor website.
