Pearson has confirmed that there will be no textbook published to cover this unit.

The BTEC IT Unit 14 IT Service Delivery is the final, mandatory unit for the Level 3 Extended Diploma. This is one of the trickier Units, in that it is deemed a 'Synoptic Unit', in other words you are required to pull together knowledge that has been taught in other units, including Unit 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 11 and 16. Here are three complete resource packs for the effective teaching of the Unit 14 Controlled Assessment NEA. • A pack based around the "Geek Stuff UK" Sample Assessment Material. • A pack based around the 2018 Exam Scenario "Buckton Construction". • NEW ARRIVAL - A pack based around the 2019 Exam Scenario "Cinnamon Agricultural". All packs contain completely different exercises and worked example answers and can be used independently, or together.

The resource packs includes lessons on the following: • 14.1 Introduction to the Unit: Sample Strategy, Catalogue and Service examples for a simple worked example.  • 14.2 The Scenario and Research task: Class tasks and exercises on how to carry out the research phase of the Exam, to identify business, hardware and software requirements. • 14.3 The Service Strategy: class tasks and exercises on how to identify the Service Strategy for the given scenario. • 14.4 The Service Catalogue: class tasks and exercises on how to identify the Service Catalogue for the given scenario. • 14.5 The Service Solution: class tasks and exercises on how to identify the Service Solution for the given scenario, including exercises on designing Network Diagrams and Entity Relationship Diagrams. • 14.6 The Evaluation: class tasks and exercises on how to evaluate the IT Service Solution designed. • 14.7 Implications for the Service Solution: class tasks and exercises on how to determine the implications for the IT Service Solution designed. • All Lessons include  teacher presentations, class tasks, worksheets and worked examples.

Included in each pack are: • A complete framework to guide learners in what is required for each topic in Parts A and B. • Research Suggestions for Part A. • Teaching presentations. • Class tasks. • Discussion points. • Practice activities for creating network diagrams, with answers. • Practice activities for creating Entity Relationship Diagrams, with answers. • A complete worked solution for the network diagram. • A student checklist for tracking individual progress during the Controlled Assessment.

PLEASE NOTE: this resource focuses entirely on how to answer all the activities in the Non Examined Assessment and consists of 20 documents. It is NOT a theory resource. As Unit 14 is the designated Synoptic Unit, these resources will assume that the candidates will be drawing on theory content already delivered for other units.

The 'Geek Stuff UK' pack is also for sale on knowitallninja.

"I would recommend these resources to others as they have been a massive help!!! "
