COVID-19 Support for Schools

Workshops, Tutorials, Online Help and 1:1 private tuition services available.

Is your school looking at a return of students in September?

There are so many questions to be asked at this time. How are you going to maintain social distancing in your classrooms? How are you going to ensure that mealtimes run smoothly? what are you going to do if some parents are still unhappy about sending their children back to school? How are you going to manage the safety of your Curriculum and Support staff?

The National Tutoring Programme is a new initiative to put private tutors into schools, either for face to face support or online.

Current information can be found here:

https://educationendowmentfoundation.org.uk/covid-19-resources/national-tutoring-programme/ntp-faqs/

There are three key messages here

  • Schools will be subsidised up to 75% of the cost of tuition

  • The focus will be on pupils in receipt of Pupil Premium Funding only, at least in the first instance

  • The programme is looking at 12 - 15 weeks of 1:1 support

In addition funding seems to specifically concentrate on English and Maths

I can offer the following services:

  • 1:1 catch up support for your students in GCSE maths

  • Run online lessons to support GCSE Maths students at Foundation Tier.

  • Work closely with your school teachers or existing schemes of work

  • Help ensure the transition from online learning to face to face teaching should be seamless.

  • Report on the progress of each session to your VLE or MIS tracking system.

  • In addition I can also provide support for the following subjects:

    • GCSE and A Level Computing

    • L2 and L3 BTEC IT

    • L3 BTEC Computing

In addition I can also offer seperate, paid for private tuition for your students, working closely with your classroom teacher, to make sure everyone is working together. This tuition model has worked very successfully at The Henley College.
