Unit 2 Complete Teaching Scheme of Work Resource Now Available!

The BTEC Unit 2 Creating Systems to Manage Information Unit is one of the mandatory units for all certification levels.


TheComputingTutor is proud to present a complete scheme of work designed to guide students through the new 5 hour exam format implemented in 2019.


The resource has been developed for use with Microsoft Access with over 150 exercises, class tasks, discussion and research activities with suggested answers covering all activities in Parts A and B for the 5 hour exam.


The Scheme of Work includes two brand new exam-style scenarios that students can use to practice creating and normalising tables, creating validation rules, queries forms and reports, all with differentiated, exam-style exercises and suggested answers.


In addition, the new scheme of work scenarios include both single tables with multiple foreign keys, and mapping tables with compound primary keys.


Part A Teaching Resource 1 - Database Normalisation and Validation

Query Resource content includes:

Teaching material covering all content required for the remainder of the Exam Part A including lessons on:

• Using query aggregate functions - SUM, MIN, MAX, COUNT AVG.

• Creating complex, multi-table join queries.
